How to make money with Google Adsense is still a question I get asked quite often.

It's tough to get a realistic answer to this question since so many people use Adsense as a marketing angle and you constantly see reports like "The Death of Adsense" and rumors get thrown around on the forums every time someone's income takes a nosedive.

The truth is that Google Adsense is still a viable monetization strategy for those that want to make a simple passive income from their web sites.

If you want to know how to make money with Google's program, then check out these google adsense tips.

1) Select (And Test) The Right Niche

Clearly, this is crucial to any internet marketing business.

However, with google adsense, it's a little bit different and the only way to really test a niche with adsense as your monetization model, you'll need to test the niche.

The best way I know to quickly test whether or not adsense is viable option for a niche is to follow my step by step case study how to build a successful online business with article marketing

One thing people don't seen to discuss when it comes to making money with google adsense is how much things vary from niche to niche.

And I'm not just talking about how much you'll earn per click but also the click through rate on your ads.

I've tested many different niches with the exact same web site layout and ad layout and have seen click through rates vary from barely 1% to over 33%. Read more

If you want to make money blogging there are a few things you need to know.

First, making money blogging is not as simple as a lot of people want you to believe.

Don't believe all the hype of sales letters and blog posts that you see. There is work involved.

You can't just throw up a blog, make a few posts and expect the cash to roll in.

However, if you are prepared to put together a solid game plan and put in the necessary work, blogging can be a fantastic and easy way to make money working from home.

But you need to realize that you need a plan, just like with any other business.

If you were going to spend $350,000 to open a retail store, I doubt you'd just rent a building, purchase a bunch of random stuff, toss it into your store and open for business, expecting people (traffic) to stampede to what you have to offer (your blog's content), and whip out their credit cards for your products (your offers on your site, whether it's adsense or affiliate links).

So if you still want to make money blogging, here are eight steps you can take to start generating traffic and pulling in profits.

1. Select A Niche

There's been a lot written about how to select a niche. My favorite ways to find a niche are actually offline and you can read more about that in my article, How To Find Profitable Niches Offline

To confirm that the niche will be viable online (people are searching for the topic and you can generate traffic), you'll need to do some keyword research as well.

Wordtracker's Free Keyword Research Tool goes a long way in helping you determine if your niche is being searched for online.

Viral marketing can be a great way to get your message out there quickly and rake in big time profits in a short period of time. Or build a huge list.

Or whatever it is you are trying to accomplish with your viral marketing campaign.

Here are three mistakes you want to make sure you avoid when putting together your viral ebook before you launch.

1) Make sure you can control every link inside your ebook

If you're promoting an affiliate program inside your viral ebook, do NOT use your affiliate link. Use a redirect from you own domain, such as http://www.yourdomainname.com/redirect

Why? Well, what if that affiliate program changes it's affiliate management software and gives you new affiliate links?

Now all those links in all those copies of your ebook are worthless.

2) Avoid dating your info Read more
